This module will provide practical information on the IPM approach to help minimize and manage house flies and stable flies, the two most common fly pests affecting dairy cattle in and around confinement facilities. While the focus is primarily on management of house and stable flies affecting dairy cattle, much of the information also has applications for managing these fly pests on beef cattle, horses, and other animals in barns and confinement.

- Understand the importance of an integrated approach to managing house and stable flies affecting dairy animals in barns and confinement.
- Identify management options and opportunities to manage house and stable flies and reduce risk of developing pesticide resistance.
